What do you live for?
That moment of cool, peace, quiet. When you can hear your reflections, and affirm your focus to fulfill your vows.
That certainty of purpose, clouded by frustration, unending pain, returning agony, forever dread, that extreme weakness of exhaustion - but never really lost; always pulsing, glowing.
The people around you, those who really, constantly, quietly care, not the throngs of loud, cacophonic, indifferent, ignoring, uncaring nobodies of great temporary importance, who regard you as nobody; but you are unerringly somebody, uniquely yourself.
The peace of being human, imperfect, fallible, in error, learning, reflecting, carrying on, moving on, for all this too shall pass. This is what you live for.
Wow. This is so profound and touching, Alan. I love it ❤️
