While our national media is a meritocracy at feeling good, and being oh so positive, especially when we had to fill ourselves with self-praise at last century's end, before world media took over to do it for us —
some celebrations are local to article spins only, when our local realities for quite a few are far less cause for partying:
Public apartments of eye-catching design, that hide countless caged holes of households slowly decaying, through wear and tear, that they cannot keep up with even essential maintenance for.
Public hawker centres replaced by private coffee shops that won't break our wealthy banks, but will break the bare backbone funds of those who bank, on merely eating for energy and nutrition.
