Humanity can look so tough and permanent on the outside, behind a full smile of teeth. Still, like my first adult molar which had to be urgently removed, an insignificant chip silently enlarged into a cave mouth that penetrated living tissue within, with a slot back door at opposite end.
And so we do not feel much of the ache and pain till we suddenly realise the abrupt end approaches, like this solid tooth selflessly serving all these years. The warning sensitivity, pain. But by the time the face sinuses hurt, the gums itch, the other teeth grown, the nerves have started to decay forever.
And now I await the slowed healing of a diabetic, the sleep-penetrating malaise through a tired consciousness, I amuse myself with blender liquid food microwaved into a meal. It's easy eating (slurping) on teeth.
Knowing that many of us will enjoy food this way at life's end, if we cannot replace our losses with artificials, currently each costing twice the price of a premium mobile phone, or graphics workhorse computer. And that's a full set of 32.
Don't wait until you lose this living world permanently, through your inertia.
Ouch! I had a back molar pulled about 6 weeks ago. It was broken down to the root.
Speaking of roots; like a tree on some of these things! They don’t want to let go. But sometimes they have to for our overall health.
I’m proud of you 👏
