working harder than your pretense
Stop wasting time playing games. Video games, card games, tabletop games. Physical sports, for-profit tournaments, politics, scams, monopolistic economic competition, military bullying, pathological lying. Yes, all of these are human games, from the most trivial, through the most heinous, but can also be the most eudaimonic.
You see (you don't), I've always studied all types of games while playing them. It's like you see something happening, it makes you think. And for me, after that I create something else meaningful from the value of what I learn, and my chosen medium is writing.
And while thrill-seekers game for mindless loops of dopamine highs that rob their banks, researchers and philosophers study strategies and principles from play patterns, and grind through disciplines and logistics
Recently, I've been studying worlds again. Star systems to settle planets on, our own Sun and Moon, and continents turned into wastelands of various climates and ruins. Awesome to turn the lens back on our stewardship of paradise Earth, lived in by the nations of humanity.
