Start with a word. I use, currently off my mind: End. Move to a phrase. In my current mood: End of innocence.
Added - use that phrase as a title. And the byline below that, for the coming sentence: passing smiles.
Next, turn it into a sentence: His passing is the end of my innocence of childlike smiles and happy futures ever after. And from this, I can start writing a paragraph:
He appeared when I wasn’t expecting better, and passed us by, the end of a beginning, when in my heart I expected in hope for many good years. With that innocent hope, I'd expected the shadows of doom to remain held at bay in the background, but the smiles were the contentedness of a child in final autumn, and not a careless happy joy of anticipating a future of spring.
And how does this paragraph👆carry on into a chapter, a part and then the whole of a book? Write another paragraph, double those.
But some stories were not meant to be completed as complete novel series, mayhap only by descendant authors. One such comes to mind, playing with lonely chairs that are yet to conclude.
Great advice ❤️
